Episode 17- Linda

December 4, 2019

I think it’s an ongoing battle as a mom not to tie your effectiveness to their behavior. I think that’s just a given as a mom. I don’t think it’s an easy thing, but I think it’s part of our refining process to remember that they have their agency.

Linda was nominated by Chey (episode 15) and is self-described as Chey in 10 years. She is also the mother of a blended family, with seven children, three from Lyle (husband of 13 years), two from her, and two together. She is a woman that lives by unconditional love, not only to her children but to everyone around her.

Linda talks about some hard moments of blending a family that helped me better understand that family dynamic. She also shared some wisdom about the benefit of perspective in mothering, no matter your current phase. You can see in this interview the patience and grace and love that she seems to have no shortage of, that are such a blessing to her family. Thanks for the nomination, Chey!
