I think it’s an ongoing battle as a mom not to tie your effectiveness to their behavior. I think that’s just a given as a mom. I don’t think it’s an easy thing, but I think it’s part of our refining process to remember that they have their agency.
Linda was nominated by Chey (episode 15) and is self-described as Chey in 10 years. She is also the mother of a blended family, with seven children, three from Lyle (husband of 13 years), two from her, and two together. She is a woman that lives by unconditional love, not only to her children but to everyone around her.
Linda talks about some hard moments of blending a family that helped me better understand that family dynamic. She also shared some wisdom about the benefit of perspective in mothering, no matter your current phase.
