Episode 1- Brenda

August 19, 2019

And now my grandson’s a senior, and all his friends call me “Grandma.” And it makes me feel good. It’s what I want to be right now. It’s the thing I like to be.

There can’t be a person alive who has met Brenda and hasn’t loved her instantly. She’s one of those rare people who can instantly make you feel like her best friend. I’ve known her for as long as I can remember, but have never had an opportunity like this to sit and chat with her one and one; it was every bit as wonderful as I thought it would be.

Brenda is a wife and mother of five, but her current and most favorite role is Grandma to twenty grandchildren- sixteen of which live within ten miles of her home. She takes her role as grandmother very seriously, and you’ll wish she was baking you cookies every day by the end of this interview. She was gracious and vulnerable with me in sharing her fears and her faith, and I promise you’ll love her, too.
